Network Set-up: Bootstrap

The Bootstrap configuration method is a alternative to configuring Monorean Cam from Monorean Inbox either via the simple set-up, advanced set-up or manual set-up. With this method, your Monorean Cam will try to obtain the configuration directly from your SIM card instead of receiving it from Monorean Inbox!

To enable this method, simply press the button 3 from your Monorean Cam control box and hold it for 3 seconds. Immediately you will see BOOTSTRAP CONFIG on the screen.

That simple!

We recommend you try the simple set-up before you attempt to use the Bootstrap method as the Bootstrap set-up might not allow Monorean Cam to connect to all bands and antennas available.

What could go wrong?

I see WRONG SETUP

If, after viewing REACHING SERVER, you see WRONG SETUP on the Monorean Cam screen, it means the Bootstrap method fails to guess the configuration. The Monorean Cam control box will simply go back to show SETUP NETWORK on the display. Please try the simple set-up.

I press the button 3 for 3 seconds but nothing happens

Make sure you are pressing the button hard enough, if you can’t still see BOOTSTRAP CONFIG your unit or your SIM card does not support this feature. Please use the simple set-up instead.
