Control Box
Equipped with the technology and battery power needed to send high-quality images in real time, the Monorean Control Box powers the entire operation.
After detecting that the Photo Button has been triggered, the Control Box will receive the image through the Cable CAM and send it to Monorean Inbox wirelessly over a 4G LTE mobile network.
Mobile Connectivity
Monorean Cam sends images of your exam to Monorean Inbox wirelessly and instantly through the Monorean Cam Control Box which connects to available mobile networks.
4G LTE
The Control Box will use a high-speed 4G LTE mobile network to allow Monorean Cam to send each image to Monorean Inbox in a matter of seconds.
Backup Mobile Network
In the event that there is a poor 4G LTE signal, the Monorean Cam Control Box will transmit images over 3G, 2G and EDGE networks, in this order, if available.
SIM Card
The Monorean Cam Control Box is not exclusive to any one network provider, so you can freely choose any provider that best suits your needs. Any nano SIM card used with Monorean Cam must have an active data plan. Please make sure that you know the phone number associated with the SIM card, as sometimes IoT (Internet Of Things) SIM card providers do not have a way to access the cooresponding phone number.

Screen
The Monorean Cam Control Box has a built-in OLED screen, which displays the image sending status, battery charge and type of network coverage (4G, 3G, 2G or EDGE).
Keyboard
The Control Box includes a keyboard which allows you to enter the PIN number of your nano SIM card during the first power-on.
Turn on the Monorean Cam with the OK button ()
The buttons on the Control Box keyboard have enough resistance to avoid accidentally pressing keys during your exam.
Press the buttons with the tip of your finger or with your nail.
Battery
Monorean Cam is powered by an internal, rechargeable lithium polymer battery. You can charge the Control Box by connecting the included USB cable to the connector: .
Through the Control Box screen, you can check the charging status on the battery icon located in the upper-left corner.
You can send 2000 images per charge.

How to reset the Control Box
If the Monorean Cam Control Box requires troubleshooting, resetting could solve the problem. To do so, with the Control Box connected to the USB charger, press the Photo Button and button number 2 on the keyboard at the same time. The screen will turn off immediately. Disconnect the USB charger, connect it again and turn on and the Control Box.
Wait until the Monorean logo disappears from the screen.
How get the IMEI number
Each Monorean Cam unit is equipped with a unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. To retrieve your unit’s IMEI:

Remove the SIM card (if present) from the control box.

Turn on the unit by pressing the OK button .

Wait for the INSERT SIM CARD message to appear on the screen.

Press and hold the button 6 for 5 seconds.

The 15-digit IMEI number will display on the screen.
Your carrier might ask for the IMEI number.
Long term storage
If you plan on not using the Monorean Cam for a period longer than two months, it is advisable to follow these straightforward steps:
- Fully charge the battery.
- Remove the USB charger.
- Press the Photo Button and button number 2 on the keyboard at the same time.
- Make sure you can’t turn it on by pressing the OK button ().
You will need to connect the USB charger to recover from the long term storage stage.
